timing is every thing

last night we had a nice family night where well all got along well, had a good lesson, had a good snack and then we read stories after. i am reading the original version of peter pan and Wendy to the kids. when we got done lid fell asleep in my bed and i just rolled over and went to sleep to. i was getting to bed early for once with the intention of getting up early to ride my bike and get a workout in before work to day. i was just getting good and asleep when my phone rang. it was about 10:00. i had to get up, find all my stuff and go into work. it sucked because i it was a very technical problem that i had to use my brain (that was still half asleep) to figure out. it turned out that i had to find 3 separate records that where saved wrong in a file that had about 20,000 files in it. i got it figured out and went home. missed about 3-4 hours of sleep. it would not have been so bad if i had been awake already, but i was just out. i mean ill take the overtime money but how bout catching me before i go to bed next time please.

I would feel sorry for you, but I know your wife's been up all night every night for about 6 months straight. So...not so much ;)

Yay for Peter Pan.
When you're done, get a copy of the only sequel that's based on Barrie's idea for more!

I'm just calling attention to the novel because I liked it. And actually, it's neither PC nor not PC when it comes to the Indians.
And why am I a weirdo for liking Pan and showing you more about it?
Sheesh :)

It hasn't been that bad, Timpani. He only gets up once. Actually he's been sleeping through the night for about a week now. Yay!!! (It took him long enough. 7 1/2 months! None of my others took nearly that long to sleep through the night. Still, one interuption wasn't bad.)

My name is Dana and I'm a weirdo. I like it though and don't want any part of your 12 step program to "fix" me. :)

I've never read the real Peter Pan. My parents only read me the Disney version.

Is it worth the time?

i like it. its kinda twistes.

I usually go for twisted with a happy ending. Is there a happy ending in the real Peter Pan or does he kill himself like in the real Little Mermaid? Does anyone cut off their own toes like in the real Cinderella?

I see why my parents stuck to the Disney versions. lol!

I liked the real Peter Pan. The real Mermaid was Horrible!!!

Bruce said...

no, he goes on being the boy that never growes up.

oh yuck! I never heard of the real Cinderella. I did get upset when I first read the real little mermaid. How sad, and stupid men! Always letting mermaids dissolve into sea foam for not being loved!

The Grimm Brothers Fairytales are well grim. :) So are the Hans Christian Anderson ones.

I'm glad to hear that Peter Pan goes on being the boy who never grew up.
